Sabotage – What’s stopping you from achieving your goals

Ever find yourself wondering why the things you really want keep slipping through your fingers?

You start strong… and then somehow, you stop.

If you’re wondering why that is – it’s not because you’re lazy, anxious, or undisciplined – you might actually be sabotaging your own progress.

If that sounds familiar, this isn’t lack of effort or ability – we are unconsciously getting in our own way.

Self Sabotage

What is Sabotage?

Sabotage is when, often unconsciously, we block our own progress – even when we genuinely want change.

It’s not about intention – it’s usually a subconscious pattern rooted in fear or old beliefs.

It happens when we have unresourceful deep-seated beliefs, fear, or an old part of us trying to “protect” us.

What Sabotage Looks Like

Over-promising to others – and under-delivering.

Signing up with a personal trainer, going to the gym regularly and then eating chocolate and ice-cream every night.

Saying “no” to self-care because you have so many other things to do or you “don’t deserve it.”

Why it Happens

Often, it’s a misguided attempt to keep us safe. That voice pushing you to “stay small” is trying to shield you from pain – even though it ultimately steals your joy in the long run. That’s fear-based preservation at work.

Our unconscious is trying to protect us, but ends up sabotaging the goals we consciously really want.
